Today’s Awesome Breakfast Fare
I was at a friend’s on Friday and saw a copy of the above cookbook and beginning to thumb through it I saw a plethora of recipes I long to make my own. I did find one that I just had to try, however as you’ll see, I certainly did make it mine with a few changes that are customized to my family’s liking.
Recipe – Hashbrown Casserole
1 bag frozen hash browns
1 stick margarine
2 cans Cream of Chicken Soup
1 c. sour cream
1/3 c. chopped onion
S&P to taste
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Melt margarine. Stir together potatoes, butter, soup, sour cream and onion. S&P to taste. Place in 13×9 baking dish. Top evenly with cheese. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 30 minuntes

Butter instead of margarine
1 large can of Cream of Chicken soup
1 whole chopped onion instead of 1/3 c.
1/2 large chopped green bell pepper
1 small bag real bacon pieces
Added Tony Chachere’s, Mrs. Dash & Italian Seasoning (sprinkled on top)
Try it, I hope you like it. You may want to leave it the same way I found it, you may want to use my tweaks, or you may just want to make it ‘your own ~ customize to your family’s likes’!
As you’ll see on my 2nd pic of my plate, some of my Yellow Meat Watermelon is still pleasing my palate. YAY
